Weird Al Concert

September 30, 2026 By Elizabeth Jane Morgan Leave a Comment

Earlier this month, my family and I were lucky enough to have tickets to a Weird Al Yankovic concert. We were all looking forward to it. My brother, especially, is a fan. It was fun and I would recommend it to anyone who likes his music.

The concert lasted about two hours. Weird Al didn’t sing the entire time, but he had a video screen running behind him. When he was singing, it would show scenes and lyrics from his various music videos. When he wasn’t, it would show clips from his movies and even fake interviews. Weird Al would pretend to ask a celebrity a question and then they would cut to the celebrity’s answer from a real interview. This break would allow him to go backstage for a costume change.

The first song was “Tacky.” He started in the hallways of the venue, sang into a camera, and made his way to the stage. He sang a lot of his most popular songs, including “Skipper Dan,” “Party in the CIA,” “White and Nerdy,” and many more. During “White and Nerdy,” he started the song on a Segway. I watched him carefully, afraid he might get too close to the edge of the stage, but he was an expert in riding it and was fine.

Next to me, my brother was singing along to all the songs, at least when he knew the lyrics. He likes Weird Al, but he doesn’t know every song. I’m sure he wishes the concert had been longer.

All in all, it was fun. There were a lot of people. I probably wouldn’t go again, but I’m glad I got to see Weird Al live in concert, at least once.
